The telly medics are back in force on the box and ready to tackle every ailment.
If you're tired of the bags under your eyes or the spare tyre around your middle then plastic surgeons Dr Sean McNamara and Dr Christian Troy can make you look young and beautiful again in Nip/Tuck.
If it's mystery disease that afflicts you then turn to the grumpy but brilliant Dr Gregory House from Five's new series House and if you just need some quick treatment there's always Dr Big aka Big Brother. Although Dr Big might surprise you by informing you that are pregnant or have a broken leg.
It seems health has become entertainment on a grand-scale and American drama is cornering the market.
Nip/Tuck is now back on Channel 4 with even the plastic surgeons feeling their age and wondering if some self-treatment is needed.
Party animal Christian Troy hit his middle-age crisis head-on and ended up celebrating his birthday with just baby Wilbur for company.
Being left alone and not having to deal with patients would suit Dr House just fine.
Patients are an occupational hazard for the good doc. He likes dealing with the bugs, diseases and medical nasties, but hates having to deal with people - even his own staff.
Hugh Laurie is a joy to watch as the Victor Meldrew-like American and has created a memorable character.
He would probably enjoy being the Big Brother doc. Dr Big only has to deal with patients over the diary room speaker and camera. Just what the doctor ordered.
