McMann's broken hand is body blow for Accies.

HAMILTON have suffered an injury blow in their battle for Premiership survival after Scott McMann was ruled out for up to six weeks.

The Accies defender fractured his hand in the draw with Dundee and played on but has now had an operation.

Boss Brian Rice admits it is a blow to lose McMann but hopes after he sees a specialist the left-back will be able to return sooner than expected.

He said: "It doesn't affect him doing work in the gym but he'll be out for another month to six weeks.

"Once he sees the specialist we will have a better idea."
