Global Banking News - 24 December 2013

The chief operating officer at the Bank of England, Charlotte Hogg, has stated that McKinsey was not dictating the review or strategy at the UK's central bank.

McKinsey was hired to examine strategy and Deloitte LLP to conduct a 'value for money' study', following Bank of England's newly acquired powers of regulations early this year.

Hogg clarified that McKinsey was only providing inputs from its experience of similar organisations, and 'was facilitating the process' at the Bank of England but was not dictating the bank's strategy.
