McDONNELL DOUGLAS TO LAY OFF 75 PEOPLE FROM ITS MISSILE PLANT IN TITUSVILLE, FLA.

 ST. LOUIS, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonnell Douglas said today it will lay off 75 people Friday, May 7, from its missile plant in Titusville, Fla., as the U.S. Air Force Advanced Cruise Missile program continues winding down.
 Of the 75 people who will be laid off, 49 are salaried employees and 26 are
members of the IAMAW Local 2383. The layoffs will reduce total employment at the Titusville plant to approximately 1,250 people.
