McDONNELL DOUGLAS ISSUES C-17 STATEMENT

 ST. LOUIS, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Commenting on last Friday's C-17 wing test results, McDonnell Douglas stated:
 "We know it was close. We will be unable to claim success until completion of a thorough analysis of test data, including review by an External Independent Review Team, at which time we will determine what final steps to take to fully satisfy all contract requirements."
