McDONALD & CO. PRESENTS ECONOMIC FORECAST AND STOCK PICKS FOR 1994

 CLEVELAND, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Experts from Ohio's largest brokerage firm today held their 20th annual Forecast Luncheon at noon in the Grand Ballroom of Stouffer's Tower City Hotel, Cleveland. McDonald & Co. (NYSE: MDD) economist Robert J. Stalla, Ph.D, discussed his views on the economy for 1994, and Bradley E. Turner, director of Gradison- McDonald Asset Management, recommended 12 stocks for 1994.
 Stalla, the exclusive economic and financial markets consultant to McDonald & Co., believes the economy will be stimulated through the first quarter of 1994. "The economy is being bolstered by better automobile sales, a sharp rise in the leading economic factors, a favorable trend in initial unemployment claims and the rebuilding activity which has followed in the wake of hurricanes, floods and fires of this year," he said.
 Turner has been providing stock picks for six years and consistently outperforms the Standard & Poor's 500. The 1993 stock selections delivered a total return (appreciation plus dividends) of 15.4 percent versus 10.4 percent for the S&P 500.

 -- Pall Corporation (PLL) - fluid clarification products
 -- RPM, Inc. (RPOW) - protective coatings and sealants
 -- A. Shulman, Inc. (SHLM) - plastic compounds and resins
 -- WMX Technologies (WMX) - environmental services
