McDERMOTT UNIT SELLS REMAINING INTEREST IN COMMERCIAL NUCLEAR JOINT VENTURES

 NEW ORLEANS, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- McDermott International, Inc. (NYSE; MDR), announced today that Babcock & Wilcox, a major operating unit of McDermott, has concluded the sale of its remaining interest in B&W Nuclear Service Company to an affiliate of Framatome and in B&W Fuel Company to an affiliate of Framatome and Cogema.
 McDermott, through Babcock & Wilcox, remains a leading supplier of nuclear equipment and components. It is the largest current supplier of replacement nuclear steam generators to U.S. utilities and of nuclear fuel and components to the U.S. Navy. It also provides nuclear decontamination and environmental restoration services, research and test reactor fuel elements, research into compact nuclear propulsion systems, and a variety of other services related to nuclear energy.
 McDermott International, Inc. is a leading worldwide energy services company. The company and its subsidiaries manufacture steam- generating equipment, environmental equipment, and government and aerospace products. They also provide engineering and construction services for industrial and utility facilities onshore, and to the oil and gas industry offshore.
