Mc TV; What's hot and not on the box...

TOUGH American police drama Prison Break puts me behind bars every week... and I love my new imprisonment.

Of course, you need a strong stomach for this brutal glimpse of jail life. Tootsies being cut off with shears and inmates being stabbed with iron screws can have you reaching for the remote control. Also I still haven't figured out why new inmates are called Fish. I've a feeling it's a piece of information I can live without.

For those who haven't caught it yet, Prison Break is Five's latest US import and is all about a guy trying to break his older brother from death row.

The brother, of course, is a reformed soul and completely innocent and has been framed for a murder that he didn't commit.

Well that's the starting point, but to free him younger sibling has had to get himself sent to jail and has the plans of the entire prison tattooed on his body.

Everything involving the prison break was carefully planned in advance down to the last detail, but now things are going badly wrong... like toes being sliced off.

Work on the escape tunnel hasn't even begun yet and the new cellmate doesn't sleep or even catnap so it's hard to do any digging on the sly.

It's gripping stuff as the race against time begins. The penalty for failure is the electric chair... and probably a few more toes.

BRUTAL... Wentworth Miller get a glimpse of gaol in Prison Break.
