Mazda North American Operations (Mazda North America), a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (Ford) (NYSE: F), has reported an increase in sales for the month of April 2010.

The automaker sold 18,935 units last month, up 17.3 percent over the year-ago period.

Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) sold 8,152 units last month, an increase of 59.6 percent compared to the same period in April 2009.
