Maysan's casualties by American fires up to 10 killed.

Chairman of the Security Committee at Maysan's Provincial Council, Maytham Lefteh Jasim, said that the number of casualties resulted from American forces' fires in Duwaijat village, which was invaded by American forces, has increased to ten killed.<p>He told NINA on Friday, Feb. 12, "The American forces arrested 12 persons, including an ambulance driver, who attempted to evacuate the bodies."

Jasim denounced the incident describing it of being a savage act by American forces who over stepped their limits, according to him.

Earlier in the day, source at Maysan province police said that American forces killed seven citizens and wounding two others when it invaded the village last night.

The source told NINA, "The American forces invaded Duwaijat village, a citizen opened fire thinking that there are thieves, but the American forces returned the fire killing him and six others as well as wounding two persons."

He added that afterward American forces detained twelve villagers.

No comments on the incident made by the American forces.
