Mayor Terry Buckle, Former UK Driving Instructor, Crashes Car Into Edmundsbury Tesco [VIDEO].

It seems even experts make mistakes. Former driving instructor and current councillor of St. Edmundsbury, UK Mayor Terry Buckle, was involved in a crash Tuesday after driving his car through the front doors of a supermarket.

According to local authorities, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the Mayor reportedly drove his silver Vauxhall Vectra through the front entrance of the food store at around 4:35 p.m. East of England Ambulance Services arrived on scene a mere three minutes later stating the driver was "shocked" following the crash.

"He had a slight mishap," Morteon Hall councillor Frank Warby told (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-22619361) BBC Tuesday. "They are automatic doors so they opened as he approached."

Mayor Buckle's wife, Pam Buckle, told the (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/suffolk-mayor-terry-buckle-drives-car-into-tesco-express-store-in-moreton-hall-8627007.html) East Anglian Daily Times that her husband did not suffer from any obvious injuries despite being transported from the scene in an ambulance. "He's home now. He's fine and he had an x-ray on his neck and he's just a bit sore," she said. "He's gone to bed with some tablets."

An unidentified bystander to Tuesday's accident claimed this isn't the first time a similar accident at the location has occurred.

A Tesco spokesman said despite vehicle entering the facility, the damage to the store was manageable confirming the location was still open for business. "We'll be working as quickly as possible to get the front of the store repaired and back to normal," he said. "We wish the driver a speedy recovery and are relieved that none of our other customers or colleagues were hut during this incident."
