Mayor Duterte to miss dad's 4th SONA.

By Marjaleen Ramos

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will not attend President Rodrigo Duterte's fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

Mayor Duterte said she is currently on a special medical leave for 60 days. "I am on special medical leave for 60 days. It's a gyne condition," she said in a text message to CNN Philippines.

The Davao City mayor was present at his father's past two SONA's.

In President Duterte's 3rd SONA last year, the nation watched as Congresswoman Gloria Arroyo stripped Pantaleon Alvarez of the speakership post.

Duterte himself earlier admitted that his daughter played a key role in the ouster of Alvarez.
