TELECOMWORLDWIRE-16 August introduces web-enabled and conference calling facilities(C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Web-enabled and conference calling facilities have been introduced by, a provider of prepaid roaming mobile phone services.

According to it is the first prepaid SIM provider to introduce such a service, which it claims enables business users to make cheaper calls. It also allows businesses to set up conference calls while travelling abroad, from any phone in any location, with no extra fee charged for the conference facility.

The new service is web-enabled which means that, rather than using a traditional mobile phone network, the Internet is used to set up and connect calls. The service is not handset dependent, so hotel phones can reportedly be used without the need to pay the usual costs of hotel phones, and up to 20 conference call connections are permitted at any time. said the web-based service will enable business users to use the communication facilities while travelling and benefit from call charges up to 85% less expensive than those of the main mobile operators.
