This work present seven papers and an LL.M thesis by contributors affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, and several other research institutions. Some specific subjects include the immunity of official visitors, responsibilities in international law, assessing the existence of the right to translation under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, freedom of expression and the WTO, and an international law perspective on the waters of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. The LL.M thesis addresses improvement of the compliance mechanisms of the international waste trade regime by introducing incentives.
