Mauritius HC for enhanced trade with Pakistan.
Talking to local industrialists and exporters at Sialkot here today, the high commissioner stressed better cooperation in various fields was in the interest of both countries. He said Mauritius was keen to establish direct trade links between chambers of commerce and industries of Pakistan and Mauritius besides making an all-out effort to boost trade ties.
Meanwhile, surgical instruments manufacturers and exporters urged the Mauritius high commissioner to ensure direct trade and exports of Sialkot made surgical instruments instead of purchasing them through other countries, as this step would be beneficial for Pakistan and Mauritius.
During an important meeting of the Sialkot based surgical instruments manufacturers and exporters here, surgical exporters told the visiting high commissioner that there were bright opportunities of direct trade and exports of surgical instruments.
SIMAP Chairman Muhammad Bilal Tanveer said direct trade would be much cheaper and also boost the surgical industry of Sialkot. In his address of welcome, SCCI President Sheikh Abdul Majid said Pakistan and Mauritius enjoyed very cordial and friendly relations, saying that both countries were moving in the right direction to enhance bilateral trade.
