Matt Ritchie.

DOODLING ON PAPER, usually with a ballpoint pen (often blue), is one of those near-universal experiences. Through what must be incredible effort, Matt found a way to control the impulse for wild, free-form pen strokes. He instead conjures up unique, unpredictable ideas and renders them with a distinct touch. Look at his art and you may experience (through your hands, arms, and eyes) the familiar sensation and motion of a pen pressing into paper and gliding along. Matt has many different styles, but with his ballpoint ink drawings he's created a ghostly blue world with amazing inhabitants. --DJ
