Matsushita Electric to Release LED UV Curing System.

Tokyo, Japan, Jan 15, 2007 - (JCN) - Matsushita Electric Works Machine & Vision Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Matushita Electric Works Ltd. (Matsushita Electric), announced today it's release of the Aicure UJ20 Series-a LED spot type ultraviolet ray curing system. Mastsushita Electric has succeeded in making the smallest controller in the LED spot class type and in developing LED irradiation.

The Aicure UJ20 series has the highest output power (8,000mW/cm2), twice as powerful than the lamp spot type. Its luminescence lifetime is about 20,000 hours (when used in "power mode" at an irradiation distance of 10mm) which is about six to ten times longer than a standard lamp type. Its electricity consumption is 60VA and it also meets the environmental standards of RoHS and CE.

The Aicure UJ20 series is used in lens module units (for mobile phones and digital cameras), in optical components (for light switches and relays), and light pickup assemblies (for Blue-ray Disk and HD-DVD). The Aicure UJ20 will be available from January 15, 2007.
