Loadstar I and II single and ratio hopper loaders have 2.25-hp motor and audible alarm when material-flow problems occur. Model BIL and B2L Budget hopper loaders have an easy-to-use reset circuit breaker on outside of control box. Spun-aluminum parts are anodized for corrosion protection. Two-stage quiet bypass motor in B1L has a 400-lb/hr capacity and is 10 db quieter than a standard vacuum motor. Model B2L has a 700 lb/hr capacity. On-demand cycle control shuts units down when hopper is full.


Magnetic separation equipment includes grinder plate magnets, hopper magnets, and separation equipment for recycling, such as magnetic separation pulleys and cross-belt separators. Line of drawer magnets protects against ferrous metal damaging equipment.

Vibratory weigh scales allow simultaneous filling, vibrating, and weighing of bulk containers. Standard weigh console features digital readout, which controls start and stop of fill system and vibration sequence by weight signal. Deck sizes from 24 to 72 in. Two deck styles: flat-top Model FWT and grid-top GWT for installation in roller-conveyor systems. Also gross-weight readout, analog signal, and setpoints for auto valve or gate operation.


Vacuum loaders and central vacuum-conveying systems have proportioning valves, silos, and controls designed for easy installation and low operating costs. Single loaders have throughputs to 2500 lb/hr of pellets and powders. Filterless central pellet loaders come with one central self-cleaning filter. All loaders are stainless steel for low maintenance and long life.


FL-110 filterless vacuum-loader system eliminates on-machine maintenance. Includes loading chamber for mounting above-machine hopper and separate power unit for mounting at ground level for easy maintenance. Loading rates to 950 lb/hr. Levalarm low-level hopper alarm has a capacitive-type proximity switch and control to indicate low-level condition in any bin or hopper.


Bolted and welded silos constructed of coated carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Other fabrication and services include SealWeld and gravity blending silos, special hopper configurations, load-cell supported silos, baked-on coating systems, product testing/reliable discharge, and complete silo design.


Central vacuum-conveying systems automate conveying of material from storage to processing machine. Filterless vacuum receivers made of stainless steel for longer production life. System enables fines and dust to be removed from material and transported down the vacuum line to the central safety filter. Microprocessor control scans and loads up to 32 vacuum receivers. Systems easily expandable for future integration of scrap granulators, dryers, and blending systems. Modicon or Allen-Bradley controls can be provided to accommodate special requirements.

New E and EV stainless steel single-phase hopper loaders are designed for gentle transportation of virgin resins, regrinds and additives directly to the process machine. Hinged vacuum head ensures quick cleanup and easy maintenance. All units have a microprocessor control for setting and displaying loading time, loading function and mode including an audible and visual empty alarm. Loaders also have the capability of being converted to central system receivers. EV series is a glass tube loader with an optical sensor and nonreturn flap valve. Throughput of the E series is up to 400 lb/hr.

S-Series three-phase single hopper loaders fabricated from corrosion-free stainless steel and designed for high-volume conveying up to 1650 lb/hr. Operator panel can be mounted on the receiver or installed on the vacuum unit. M-Series vacuum units are fully portable and feature a powerful three-phase vacuum blower, cartridge filter and exhaust manifold.


New Access loaders feature an angled canister, hinged lid, consolidated terminals and pneumatics, and modular valves with common seals. Loaders suitable for applications on machine hoppers, blender bins or drying hoppers. Available in sizes of 0.25 and 0.5 cu ft and in three central-vacuum sizes of 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 cu ft.

Self-contained DustBeater loaders available in two sizes in carbon or stainless steel and as either hopper loading or direct-feed units with glass viewing chambers. MLC6 loader controls with digital readouts provide accuracy and repeatability.

Economical tube loaders feature electro-polished stainless-steel construction and an exclusive body design that eliminates material flow problems like funneling, bridging and hangups. TLM tube loader incorporates a two-stage 0.38-hp vacuum motor to convey resins up to 150 lb/hr over distances up to 20 ft. TLA model uses clean compressed air and an efficient venturi to draw up to 700 lb/hr material from drums, bins or gaylords. Tube loaders can be used for loading into dryer, blender or machine hoppers, or direct-feed versions with material-view chamber and may be mounted directly to machine throats, feeders and drawer magnets.

Compressed air is also used to power the CAML family of loaders and evacuators. Units available for direct-feed or hopper loading and for evacuating barrels or gaylords, granulator catch bins and other storage containers.

Central vacuum conveyors include the large-capacity DuraLoad series in sizes from 8- to 25-in. diam. and per-load volume capacities from 0.14 to 3 cu ft and filterless loaders with capacities to 4 cu ft. These receivers are filled by remote vacuum pumps and can be used singly or in multiples for filling rows of machines. Filterless receivers prevent excessive carryover of fines and dust into the central dust collector without a filter and with minimum maintenance. Customizing options include positive discharge of materials, ratio loading of regrind, or as direct-teed loaders for JIT loading in larger quantities over longer conveying distances. For smaller volumes, model TLR (0.1 cu ft) applies the tube design to central vacuum loading systems. Options include ratio loading, integral vacuum sequencing valve, and direct-feed sizes from 1-15 lbs. K-Loader small central vacuum receivers are available with 8- or 33-oz viewing chambers.

A wide range of control options for central materials-handling systems are offered. The simple and flexible SEL6 loader control gives each loader its own discrete control box. Several large-scale integrated systems available for almost any application requirement. System configurations include central I/O with wiring from the loader directly to main PLC cabinet, remote I/O with loaders wired to I/O modules located in strategic locations, and distributed 1/O with electronic I/O modules near each loader. Systems use Rockwell Automation components that are user-friendly and easily expandable and compatible with common networked communications. Small-scale f332 system is suited for small basic loading, or for a larger processor that is set up with several machine groups or cells.

PLC-based SLC48 touchscreen Sentral Loader Control allows users to program, monitor and change parameters for up to 48 loaders within up to eight simultaneously operating vacuum systems, all from a single touchscreen control station. DLC48 provides the same flexibility but in a distributed I/O configuration. Intelligent Loading System (ILS) fully featured loading control platform supports up to 144 loaders and up to 20 pumps. ILS available in all three connectivity/installation formats (central, remote I/O and distributed I/O).

Central vacuum pumps include peripheral pumps, which provide quiet, low-maintenance conveying in small- to medium-sized systems, and positive displacement pumps for moving up to 346 cu fl/min. For small-volume conveying needs (to 600 lb/hr), SPP single-phase vacuum pump can be equipped with a brushless motor to eliminate brush monitoring and replacement difficulties.

Powerfil integrated, mobile platform-mounted vacuum system can include a wide selection of receiver styles and loading functions. System includes integrated, peripheral vacuum pump of 3-, 4- or 6-hp, dust collector, and control console for up to four loading stations.

Bulk-conveying and railcar-unloading systems can include vacuum pumps to 50 hp or vacuum/pressure pumps for higher-rate, longer-distance conveying. Coperion Waeschle provides pneumatic conveying systems including the Intacon air control for low-speed, dense-phase conveying. Also supplies ZXD blow-through rotary feeder valve for powder conveying, as well as other diverter valves, slide valves, Gamma Bend deflectors for conveying lines and Combi Flow blender for flee-flowing materials.

Line of pneumatic-conveying systems includes dense, semi-dense and dilute phase. Specializes in hard-to-handle, abrasive or friable materials, railcar unloading of bulk materials, and in-plant batching and weighing.


Spira/flo spiral-grooved piping for pneumatic conveying of plastics. With Spira/ flo grooved piping and elbows, pellets are kept away from the pipe wall, minimizing angel hairs, without producing fines. Piping treated by the Spira/flo method will not have to be re-grooved after sustained conveying. The process presses a groove into the I.D., actually displacing metal as it forms the groove providing the turbulence necessary to keep the pellets away from the pipe wall and maintaining pellet shapes. Available in aluminum or stainless, Spira/flo comes in virtually all sizes with a five-year warranty.


Max Vac vacuums clean up plant spills, convey, reclaim, load, unload, and pick up materials at points simultaneously with a central manifold system (portable, stationary, towable, or dump-truck mounted). The 2- to 300-hp units vacuum wet/dry and hazardous material. Features include material separation circuit, MAXcartridge Filter filtration system, and Silencer Base muffler. Industrial scales include counting scales, bench scales, checkweighers, deck scales, lift-truck scales, static or in-motion rail scales, bin/tank/hopper scales, conveyor scales, and truck and crane scales. Magnetic separators for removing ferrous metal from regrind and reeyclable plastic. Products include magnetic drums, plates, pulleys, and overhead magnets suspended above conveyors. Magnetic drums have permanent magnets for continuous, low-cost separation and can be installed inside closed chutes, at outlets of chutes and hoppers, or where materials discharge from feeders and conveyors.

Hopper magnets feature a transparent drawer face for convenient monitoring and a slide gate that shuts off product flow.

Hopper separator has magnetic one-in.-diam, grate tubes with an assembly of ceramic or rare-earth magnet material inside. To produce a more uniform separating force, grates contain magnetic material throughout the tube, and are not partially loaded with springs and fillers. Double bank of tubes ensures maximum separation.


Box dumpers, gaylord tilters, transfer hoppers, auger conveyor systems, bulk-storage silos, and surge bins. Specializes in batch mixers for plastic pellet, powder and regrind materials.


E-Z Tec metal detectors in closed-aperture or single-surface models detect metallic contaminants of 1% of minimum aperture dimension. Accommodate wide range of product speeds from 2 ft/rain to 8800 ft/ rain. Include solid-state electronics, crystal oscillator for stable drive-frequency reference, and variable-oscillator drive voltage that optimizes product phasing and sensitivity.

Rare-earth magnetic separators (grates, traps, plates, rolls, and tubes) remove weakly magnetic or very fine iron contaminants from dry bulk or liquid products. Use Erium 3000 permanent magnetic power source, said to develop up to 25 times the pull of conventional materials. Separators can be designed into new processing lines, and existing housings and bodies can be retrofitted with RE assemblies.

Simple, rugged mechanical conveyors handle a variety of bulk materials. Single-mass and two-mass vibrating systems excited by motor-driven eccentric shaft. Compact, straight-line, low-profile design allows easy maintenance.

Electro-permanent magnetic bin vibrators move sticky, hard-to-handle bulk materials in bins, hoppers, and chutes. Units apply concentrated vibration and positive drive in two directions and feature dust- and wear-resistant housing with no sliding or rotating parts. Venturi Eductors with no moving parts transport pellets and powders. Can replace rotary airlocks in conventional, positive-pressure pneumatic conveying systems. Using motive air at 3-14 psig, systems are said to entrain and transport materials with less wear and product degradation than airlocks. Production of angel hair, threads, and fines is reportedly reduced or eliminated. Particularly useful when handling regrind or glass-filled resins, which can erode airlocks.


FerroFilter electromagnetic separators remove fine magnetizable particles to submicron size from dry materials or fluids.

Standard units separate fine ferromagnetic particles. Special units separate paramagnetic particles. Units can be back deflushed or cleaned in place. Automated systems with controls for timed processing and cleaning cycles available.

Laboratory magnetic separators (Magnetic Barrier Laboratory--Model LB-1) and Isodynamic Separator (Model L-1) separate minerals according to magnetic susceptibility.

Matcon Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) systems discharge materials from portable bulk-storage containers. Using Matcon's patented discharger/valve principle, each IBC has an in-bin cone valve at its discharge outlet. When the IBC is placed on its mating discharge station, the inverted cone connects with a probe within the station. Probe pneumatically raises the cone into the material and vibrates it, causing the material to break up and flow through the annular gap created by the lifted cone. Varying the cone's height and lilt time allows for accurate metering of the material being discharged. Weigh frames and controllers are available for accurate batching or continuous feeding. Because the cone and probe create a dust-tight seal, IBCs can be filled, transported, and discharged with no dust contamination. Total plant process control from bulk intake through weighing, mixing, and downstream routing control to finished product storage is provided by CR3000 computerized system with color graphics.

Standard units and total pneumatic materials-handling systems for capturing, conveying, and depositing trim and waste materials. Venturi eductor unit allows handling continuous ribbon or trim, while a variety of trim choppers, waste shredders, granulators, and in-line materials-handling fans permit material to be transported in piece form. Air/material separators custom engineered and include traditional separators such as cyclones, perforated elbows, and QCR (Quickdraft Cylindrical Receiver).


Line of vibratory feeders and conveyors custom built at feed rates from 1000 to 6000 lb/hr. Automated bag/box weigh-filling vibratory system eliminates net weighing. Patented design will get 20-50% more material into a container and requires less storage/transporting space.


Industrial weighing equipment from individual weighing components to complete turnkey weighing solutions. Allen-Bradley programmable indicators control up to 16 load cells on four separate channels. Digital filtering eliminates vibrational effects and minimizes settling time, while relays provide localized control of filling, mixing, and dispensing.

Weighing assemblies offer weight-derived process and inventory control in capacities from 11 to 100,000 lb. Available with NEMA 4X/IP66 enclosures and stainless-steel load cells. Shock-absorbing platforms resist overload and impact forces. MES metal separator with no moving parts is installed directly onto throat opening of the injection machine or extruder. It can handle a slow-moving material column, replaces drawer magnets, and is only five in. high. Rapid Compact metal detector/ separators are intended for use in gravity applications.

Metal separator systems include SF, DF and GSF for in-line installations onto vacuum or pressure conveying lines. MSG series of tunnel and flat metal separators installs onto belt conveyors to check material before grinding or finished products before shipping.


Metal detectors with newly designed detector coil systems for enhanced sensitivity detect all types of metal (nonferrous, ferrous and stainless steel) in a moving stream of resin pellets or powder. Highspeed reject valve diverts contamination as small as 0.3 mm (0.12 in.) from the main flow. Monitoring system confirms valve has worked.

Detectors are microprocessor-based and can be changed easily. All modules are interchangeable. Auto-balance and crystal-frequency control give highest sensitivities of all types of metal. Performance is permanently maintained without periodic adjustment or false rejects. Reliability of the unit is unaffected by surrounding metal structures or electrical interference. When additional security is required, optional reject confirmation will sound an alarm if metal is detected or the reject mechanism fails to respond within a preset time.

Magnetic housings trap and separate ferrous fragments from any nonferrous material. Housings protect machinery by filtering out undesirable contaminants, producing a purer, cleaner product. Units ruggedly constructed to support weight of material hoppers, dryers and mixers.


Iron-Sep high-energy rare earth magnets are neodymium grade N-45 magnets that are embedded and sealed in 1-in. Stainless-steel cartridges mounted in stainless-steel drawer housings. Housings offered with a mounting flange diam. range from 1.5- to 4-in ID. Magnets also capture micron-sized iron dust.

Met-Sep nonferrous metal separators operated without compressed air and are designed for flee-falling plastic regrind and virgin pellets. Units are equipped with stainless-steel reject mechanism and material exit ports. Capacities from 300 to 3000 lb/hr with a metallic impurities sensitivity as low as 300 micron (0.3 mm sphere ball diam.) based on a material bulk density of 34 lb/cu ft.

Fines-Sep plastic fines separators for free-falling dry virgin pellets or regrind. Operation uses no water, vibration or moving parts. While the contaminated material cascades through the air-washing chamber, dust, fines, paper, wood cardboard or other airborne nuisance particles are gently airwashed from the desired coarse material. Standard configuration is stainless-steel air-washer construction, digital air pressure gauge, suction fan, cyclone separator, and epitropic excess air release filter. Desk-Top mounted Fines-Sep R&D unit designed for spot-checking of incoming material, laboratory work and hands-on demonstrations in the field. Capacity up to 25 lb/hr. Standalone Fines-Sep Central series comes with a range from 500-50,000 lb/hr. Options include static eliminator and pneumatic loading system. Can interface with Met-Sep nonferrous metal separators.


Automated bulk storing, pneumatic handling, conveying, blending, drying and loading systems unload rail cars or trucks and feed blended, dried, and preheated raw material directly into molding machine or extruder hopper.

Vacuum and pressure pneumatic conveying systems. On-the-press, self-contained vacuum loaders and central conveying systems provide service to unlimited individual processing points.

Bulk material storage silos and railcar unloaders offered as basic equipment packages or as completely engineered and installed plant systems. Self-contained vacuum loaders convey up to 1200 lb/hr at distances approaching 60 ft. Central in-plant conveying systems run up to 20,000 lb/hr at distances to 500 ft.

For minimum floor space PowerMax compact positive displacement pump has accessories that include vacuum gauge, muffler, vacuum relief valve, belt guards, and vacuum switch, which electrically signals vacuum status to the microprocessor control. With various voltages available sizes range from 3-25 hp.

Maxi-Vac regenerative pump offers low maintenance, minimum floor space and is designed to be quiet and economical to install and operate. Pumps are self-contained with their own motor starter. Designed for central or modular plant layout with capacities to 2500 lb/hr, various voltages and vacuum chambers are available. A wide range of vacuum chambers/receivers allows flexibility in handling material. LS2 chambers are of heavy-duty construction with a protective cage around flapper assembly. Material contact surfaces are of stainless steel with exclusive no-paint GB finish. Seamless interior is easy to clean and allows free-flow material with no ledges to catch material. Sizes range from 0.75 to 6 cu ft. Optional external dual-ratio valve allows on-the-press proportional loading of virgin and regrind. Quick Draw and LS series self-contained glass tube chambers available with 2-, 4-and 8-in. chambers. Capacities range from 150 to 950 lb/hr.

Operator configurable 82i vacuum system control can operate one or two vacuum pumps up to eight individual stations. Either pump can operate any station. No additional wiring required. Optional dual-ratio control for all stations.

Una-Dyn Distributed Control Process Management System permits plantwide control of material-conveying systems as well as monitoring of most SPI compatible equipment such as mold temperature control units, chillers, dryers and blenders. Two-wire power and communications network in conjunction with Windows platform makes system economical to install, easy to set up and operate, and simple to expand and reconfigure.
