Mary K. Keenan, 90.

WORCESTER Mary K. (Logan) Keenan, 90, of Worcester, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center surrounded by her family.

Her husband of 52 years, Richard W. Keenan, died in 1999. Her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Keenan, died in 1954. She leaves five children, David T. Keenan and his wife Pamela of Worcester, Maureen A. Corapi and her husband Louis of Shrewsbury, M. Patricia Montimurro and her husband Thomas of Northboro, Richard F. Keenan and his wife Karen of Weymouth, and Paul J. Keenan and his wife Pauline of Scarborough, Maine; 11 grandchildren, Patrick, David and Michael Keenan, Louis, Lauren and Kristin Corapi, Nicholas Montimurro, Brendan and Eric Keenan, and Emily and Grace Keenan; three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Col. Francis J. Logan and Thomas P. Logan, also predeceased her.

Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick O. and Mary K. (Early) Logan. She graduated from North High School and the Salter Secretarial School.

She worked for the City of Worcester for many years retiring in 1984 as a secretary in the Office of Chief of the Worcester Police Dept.

Mary was a former member of St. Bernards Parish, the Guild of Our Lady of Providence and the Friday Afternoon Club.

She was talented in crafts, and enjoyed traveling, music and reading. Most especially, she was devoted to her family.

Marys family thanks the staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center for their skilled and compassionate care over the past several years.

Calling hours are Thursday, January 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Friday, January 23 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Bernards Church, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernards Parish, 236 Lincoln St., Worcester 01605.
