Martyrs face a do or die battle.

Merthyr Tydfil v Hendnesford Town.

Let's not beat around the bush, anything less then a victory at home to fellow relegation threatened Hendnesford Town and Merthyr may as well start preparing for the Dr Martens Premier League trap-door.

Merthyr's midweek 1-0 defeat to Weymouth had the Martyrs looking down and out.

The desire and commitment has always been there, but manager Leroy Rosenior can only do the job if he has the right tools.

For the first time the former West Ham United striker looked tired and dejected at the latest setback.

He said: "The Weymouth match was a massive game for us and we lost it, I really don't know what to say.

"Tomorrow's match against Hendnesford is a must win game - as all of our games are it's as simple as that.

The loss of Nicky Banger to Torquay United was a big blow and Merthyr now need to win at least five of the remaining eight matches.

Prediction: Merthyr looked a tired team in midweek. But with fresh legs and a Saturday feeling a win is on the cards, although it will be to late to save the bigger picture.
