Married for 60 years.

Botham Hall couple George and Renee Mosby have celebrated their diamond wedding.

The couple, pictured now and on their wedding day, moved into their home in Broomroyd six weeks ago, but previously lived for 33 years in Britannia Road, Milnsbridge.

They were married at All Saints Church, Paddock, 60 years ago.

The couple met at the former Joseph Hoyle Mill in Longwood, where Mrs Mosby worked as a warper and Mr Mosby worked firstly in the scouring and finishing department and then in the offices before retiring after 50 years.

Mrs Mosby, 82, made aeroplane parts during the war.

Mr Mosby, now 80, served with the Royal Army Service Corps and then worked in the graves registration department for a further two-and-a-half years with the 52nd Lowland Division.

The couple have a son and daughter, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

They are keen caravanners and have travelled extensively in Britain.
