This live theatrical presentation invites preschoolers and their parents to think, imagine and be an active part of the show as they embark on a search for clues to "the most spectacular place."
A terrific way to introduce young children to the world of live theater, BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! is on the cutting edge of a new trend in family entertainment. In BLUE'S CLUES LIVE!, children and their families are introduced to the wonders of theater from the moment they enter the venue as Blue's Clues, which has inspired a cultural phenomenon among the preschool set, explodes into life onstage. BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! features well-loved and familiar characters from the series including Blue, Steve and all of their friends....Mail Box, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper...along with some brand new characters created just for the live show.
BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! is scheduled to perform at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach for three shows on Tuesday, July 31 at 7:00 pm and Wednesday, August 1 at 10:30 am and 7:00 pm. Ticket prices are $26.00, $19.00 and $12.00. The tour moves to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for six shows beginning Friday, August 3 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, August 4 at 11:00 am (CAAF benefit performance), 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm; Sunday, August 5 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Ticket prices are $26.00, $19.00 and $14.00. Tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 213/365-3500 and 714/740-7878.
While there are many organizations raising money to find a cure for AIDS, CAAF is the only national organization raising funds solely to provide for the day-to-day needs of the American children living with the affects of AIDS. In the U.S. alone it is estimated that 14,000 - 20,000 children are infected with HIV. It is also estimated that there are nearly 100,000 children who have or will become orphaned due to the AIDS-related death of their parent(s). Add to this tragedy the fact that many of these children live in communities that are rooted in drug abuse, violence, homelessness, poverty and neglect, and the dire need for assistance becomes all too evident.
CAAF supports infrastructures already in place by funding the pressing needs of organizations serving their respective pediatric HIV/AIDS communities. In 2001, CAAF will grant over $1,250,000 to 55 agencies in 22 states across the country.
