Marketing chief to woo hotel corporate clients.

FRANCESCO IERI has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff.

Italian-born Francesco joins the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff from the Radisson Blu Hotel, London Stansted Airport, where he spent two years as director of sales and marketing.

With more than 15 years experience in the hotel industry, he will focus mainly on managing the business development of the hotel's extensive meeting and conference facilities. He will also provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing department and oversee and maintain the company's strategic goal of growing the hotel's corporate clients.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join a growing hotel that offers excellent conference and meeting facilities to the local corporate market. Established in 2009, the Radisson Blu Hotel is Cardiff's tallest hotel and is operated by The Rezidor Hotel Group.
