Marketing & PR: Severn Trent mag is upstream of rivals.
The company's NS magazine for its near 5,000 staff based across the Midlands won the 'best publication accolade' in the Midlands British Association of Communicators in Business awards.
'Keeping our staff informed and involved in what's happening in the business is critical, and we're delighted that NS - just one part of our internal communications network - has been recognised by this award,' said Anne Galletly, the company's internal communications manager.
NS fought off competition for major companies across the Midlands in a record number of entries to win first the magazine class then the overall Tom Dawson award for the best publication in the Midlands.
The magazine was won three more gongs in the new/relaunched publication category and for two of its features.
Judges described NS as 'a well designed publication with evidence of lots of flair'.
They added: 'NS is obviously the work of dedicated professionals. A good magazine has to have so much more than just good design.
'It must be a fluid blend of design, photography colour and good writing. NS has all this and more'.
