Market treasure hunt.

PENKRIDGE Market in Staffordshire will be holding a Halloween Hunt with a difference on Wednesday, October 30.

The treasure hunt will be conducted via the market's Facebook site, so visitors can pick up clues and post their answers on line, thus reducing the need for any paper.

The treasure hunt will be free to enter and the first person to complete the treasure hunt will receive a prize.

The event will run from 9am to 3pm.

Market manager Matt Williams said: "We love to hold Treasure Hunts around the market as it makes it more fun for the children going around the market, but we also want to do our bit for the environment and not waste paper or create litter.

"Obviously if any visitors haven't got a smart phone, we will of course print a copy off for them, but we want to try and make it a paperless event, if we can."

Shoppers are being encouraged to come in fancy dress, with a prize for the scariest costume on the day.
