Mark Wahlberg Teases 'Transformers: The Last Knight'.
Wahlberg, who is reprising his "Transformers: Age of Extinction" role in the new movie, took the stage at the awards night to introduce a (https://youtu.be/GyCujMv8muQ) sneak peek from the Michael Bay-directed flick. "It's pretty simple. Here's the synopsis: Giant badass robots kicking the crap out of each other, and I do some cool things, too," Wahlberg said (via (http://deadline.com/2017/05/transformers-the-last-knight-clip-mark-wahlberg-1202086575/) Deadline ) of the science fiction action movie before the clip was shown to the audience.
The sneak peek shows a meeting between Wahlberg's Cade Yeager and Anthony Hopkins' Sir Edmund Burton, who is running a retirement home for Transformers in England. Also seen in the snippet are Laura Haddock's Vivian Wembley and Bumblebee among many others.

In "Transformers: The Last Knight," which is the fifth installment of the live-action "Transformers" film series, humans and Transformers are at war. With Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) taking a dark turn in the film, the only key to saving humanity's future lies buried in the secrets of the past, most particularly in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth.
In addition to running a retirement home for Transformers, Edmund also happens to be an astronomer and historian, who is well-aware about the history of Transformers on Earth. And that's probably the reason why Cade pays him a visit as seen in the sneak peek.
In the (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79oxuuvx1JE) official trailer for the fifth installment of the franchise, Optimus is seen chained up in a ship in space and faced with a female Transformer, whom he addresses as "my maker."
"Optimus Prime, you destroyed your home. Do you seek redemption?" she asks the leader of the Autobots.
While it's unclear why Optimus turns on his friends, he later reveals, "For my world to live, yours must die."
In addition to Wahlberg and Hopkins, other actors who play humans in the film include Stanley Tucci, Isabella Moner, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Laura Haddock, Santiago Cabrera, Liam Garrigan, Jerrod Carmichael and Mitch Pileggi.
The film also features a lot of new and returning Transformers including Autobots Hound (voiced by John Goodman), Drift, Crosshairs (voiced by John DiMaggio), Hot Rod, Cogman, Canopy, Sqweeks and Grimlock as well as Decepticons Megatron, Barricade, Onslaught, Hooligan and Mohawk.
"This is not a number five. This feels like a brand new, fresh look into the Transformers," said Bay (via (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/transformers-michael-bay-brings-explosive-extended-look-cinemacon-989436) The Hollywood Reporter ) of "Transformers: The Last Knight" CinemaCon last March.
Although "Transformers: The Last Knight" is the last "Transformers" film to be directed by Bay, the director recently revealed to (https://www.facebook.com/MTV/videos/1509916525717193/) MTV at CinemaCon that there are 14 other "Transformers" stories already written. One of which is the Bumblebee spinoff that previously tapped "Kubo and the Two Strings" filmmaker Travis Knight as director for a June 8, 2018 release.
"Transformers: The Last Knight" opens in theaters on June 23.
