Marist holds off Philomath.

Byline: The Register-Guard

PHILOMATH - Kathleen Konrady scored off an assist from Brenn Donnelly in the 46th minute to give second-ranked Marist (4-0-0) a 1-0 District 5 prep girls soccer victory over Philomath on Tuesday.

Nicky Younger got the shutout with four saves. Katie Melton also had four saves for the No. 5 Warriors (3-1).

Pleasant Hill 7,

Santiam Christian 0

PLEASANT HILL - Rachelle Townley scored three goals and Audra Bruington and Malia White had two apiece to lead the eighth-ranked Billies.

Alysa Price and Amanda Krumdieck combined in goal for the shutout as Pleasant Hill outshot the Eagles 15-0.

Pleasant Hill led 5-0 at halftime.

Junction City 5, Elmira 0

ELMIRA - Christie Richards scored two goals to lead the Tigers, who widened a 1-0 halftime lead with four goals in the second half.

McKenzie Gambee got the shutout in goal for Junction City. Lindsey Parker, Danielle Hanson and Rebecca Taylor had solo goals.

Cottage Grove 6, Central 0

COTTAGE GROVE - Morgan Proffitt scored two goals and Rachel Urista, Dominique Wilson, Breanne Willis and Caley Kemp added solo goals for the Lions (2-1-1).

Holly Ewing and Kyla Culp combined for the shutout and 11 saves for the Lions. Cottage Grove led 4-0 at halftime.

District 3

North Bend 2, Glide 0

NORTH BEND - Jessica Richey scored in the 50th minute with an assist from Nicole Delimont, and then Delimont scored in the 80th minute to spark the Bulldogs.

Jenna Graham got her third shutout of the season and also assisted on Delimont's goal.

North Bend, which is 4-0-0 overall and 3-0-0 in league matches, outshot the Wildcats 10-5.

Brookings 3, South Umpqua 0

BROOKINGS - Kelli Byers, Michelle Carrillo and Ashley Hartman had solo goals for the Bruins.

Coquille 2, Sutherlin 1

COQUILLE - Tanna Nickerson scored in the 78th minute to give the Red Devils the victory over the Bulldogs.

Katlyn Shaw gave Coquille a 1-0 lead in the 65th minute but the Bulldogs tied the match 10 minutes later.
