Margaret R. (St. Germain) White.

MILLBURY Margaret R. (St. Germain) White, 90, of Millbury, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 16, 2010, in Millbury Health Care Center.

She leaves four children: Armand O. "Butch" White and his wife, Dolores M. (Desorcy) White, of Millbury, Linda L. Jacobson of Coventry, RI, Steven R. White and his wife, June C. (Lajeunesse) White, of Millbury, and Kevin P. White of Leesburg, FL; twelve grandchildren: Christopher A. White, Sr. and Lori M. Iwaniuk, both of Millbury, Rebecca L. Kanski of Great Falls, MT, John C. Jacobson of Coventry, Angela M. Setevdemio of Ashburnham, Brian S. White and Michele M. Geary, both of Rutland, Debra A. Wyman of South Grafton, Brenda M. Kelley of Spencer, Charles J. White of Harmony Township, NJ, Christina M. Pretorius of Bristol, VA, and Joseph P. White of Mt. Dora, FL; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Rajotte of Sutton; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her loving companion and friend, George G. Marr of Millbury, her former husband, Raymond A. White of South Grafton, two brothers: Lionel St. Germain of Loganville, GA and Omer St. Germain of Millbury, and a sister, Eva Dupuis of Worcester.

Born in Millbury on January 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Alexander and Delia (Grenier) St. Germain, she lived there for many years before moving to Whitinsville and then to Worcester. She returned to Millbury in 1990. She attended Assumption Academy, Nicolet, PQ, Canada.

Mrs. White worked for many years as a secretary, a bookkeeper, and a teacher, before she retired in 1970. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish and the parish St. Anne Guild. An expert cake decorater, she also enjoyed crocheting and cooking.

Her funeral will be Thursday, January 21, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., with a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 10 Waters St. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, January 20, from 6 to 8 PM. Members of the St. Anne Guild will conduct their ritual of farewell at 7 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Secretariat, Shrine of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre, 10018 Avenue Royale, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, Quebec, Canada G0A 3C0
