March on Horsebacks from Manah to Nizwa.

Manah, Nov 16 (ONA) --- A march on horsebacks kicked off from the Wilayat of Manah to the Wilayat of Nizwa today to celebrate Nizwa the Capital of Islamic Culture.

Forty-five horse riders from the Wilayat of Manah, besides the wilayats of Adam, Al Hamra, Bahla, as well as horse riders of the Sultan of Oman Armours took part in the march.

The march coincides with the Sultanate's celebrations of the 45th Glorious National Day. The march began from the Wali Office in the Wilayat of Manah and led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Shihi, Wali of Manah.

The horse riders were received before the gate of the historic Nizwa Castle by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Sa'adi, Governor of A'Dakhiliyah and Sheikh Hamad bin Salim al-Aghbari, Wali of Nizwa.

Upon the arrival of the horse riders, a ceremony was held at the castle that included various programs, poems, horse shows and Omani traditional arts performed by citizens of the Wilayat of Manah.
