He will join Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins for the Hyde Park concert on September 12.
The gig coincides with the traditional Last Night of the Proms show, and will culminate in a live video link-up with the Royal Albert Hall to allow promenaders to join in with old favourites like Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.
