Manila West books Fiba 3Aa[euro]"3 q'final slot.

SENDAI -- Doing it twoinrow within a span of two hours in the Fiba 3Aa[euro]"3 World Tour Finals may have been a little too much even for Manila West's Terrence Romeo.

Manila West brought down Sao Paolo but couldn't pull it off against Bucharest yesterday, settling for the No. 2 spot in Pool B which pits the Filipinos against Pool C leader Kranj of Slovenia in the knockout quarters at the Xebio Sports Arena in Nagamachi.

The KranjManila game is at 12:15 p.m. today (Manila time).

Romeo went to his left hand to beat Sao Paolo, 2117, but forced a twopointer that could have won it in overtime against Bucharest, allowing the Romanians to dodge the bullet, 1513, and clinch the No. 1 position going to the quarterfinals

Bucharest battles Jakarta for a seat in the semifinals.

No. 10ranked Manila West handed the No. 6 Brazilians their second loss in the eliminations, ending their run.

The PH squad is made up of Globalport's Romeo, NLEX's KG Canaleta and Aldrech Ramos and Meralco's Rey Guevarra.
