KALAMAZOO, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2000

Manatron, Inc. (Nasdaq:MANA) today announced it has installed its Court-Connect system for the Clerk of Common Pleas Court for Ohio's Lake County at web2.lakecountyohio.org/clerk. Lake County includes the eastern suburbs of Cleveland and has a population of approximately 225,000. Manatron is in the process of completing another Court-Connect installation, this one for the Clerk of Common Pleas Court for Knox County in central Ohio.

Court-Connect provides Internet and Intranet access to the schedule of cases to be heard and the court's docket, which is the record of every case handled by the court from the time the case is filed to its resolution. Cases are searchable by party name and case number. Court-Connect layers over existing court record systems to provide the information online and is compatible with many court systems, including Manatron's WRITS and GAVEL software. Last fall Manatron completed the first installation of Court-Connect for Lorain County, Ohio's Clerk of Common Pleas Court, www.loraincountycpcourt.org.

Paul Sylvester, Manatron's President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Interest in our suite of Web Connect products--including Court-Connect--remains strong. There is a growing realization among local governments that the Internet is a powerful and cost-effective tool capable of providing around-the-clock accessibility to public records. We hope to capitalize on that momentum by beginning to market the Web Connect products on a nationwide basis, as we announced last week."

Manatron, Inc. designs, develops, markets and supports a family of web-based and client/server application software products for county, city and township government. Manatron's products support back-office processes for government agencies as well as "Virtual Courthouse" needs providing Internet access to information for industry professionals and the public. Through its Sabre Appraisal division, Manatron provides mass appraisal services, assessing residential, commercial and other types of properties to ensure updated and equitable property valuations.
