Manager butts fan.

Byline: KEN BANKS

FOOTBALL co-manager Alexander Gove was admonished yesterday after he admitted headbutting a rival fan.

Grandfather Gove, 41, assaulted Brian Leslie during a clash between his side, Aberdeen amateurs Walker Road Boys Club, and Colony Locos.

Fiscal depute Ken McAlpine told Aberdeenshire District Court in Inverurie that Locos were winning 2-1 and were awarded a penalty.

As players scuffled Gove was spat upon. He asked Leslie if he had a problem, then struck him.

Defence lawyer Debbie Masson said the Aberdeen father-of-four had been provoked. Justice of the Peace Pamela Pack told Gove: "I am going to admonish you."
