D.G. Hart Associates, Inc. announced that Craig J. Linden joined the firm as managing director.

Previously, Linden was a director at Eastern Consolidated Properties, where he developed a client base comprised of nstitutional and regional property owners.

Linden holds a B.A. in economics from Brown University. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

Cushman & Wakefield announced that Robert E. Griffin, Jr. has joined the firm as president of the New England area. Griffin will be based in C&W's Boston office and will be responsible for business development and recruitment.

Prior to joining C&W, Griffin was managing principal of the investment services group for Trammell Crow. He has closed more than $7 billion in real estate transactions and his clients include many of the nation's major corporations and financial institutions, such as MGI Properties, PaineWebber, and MetLife.

Griffin is a 1980 graduate of Boston College, with a degree in management. He is chairman of the board of directors of Boston College's Fulton Business Alumni Group, a member of the board of overseers of Boston's Children' s Hospital, and a member of the board of the South Shore Kings Youth Hockey Organization. He resides in Hingham, Mass. with his wife and three children.

Gale & Wentworth Construction Services announced the promotion of Stephen Trapp to vice president. In his new role, Trapp will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of multiple construction and development projects.

Trapp joined Gale & Wentworth Construction Services more than three years ago and has served as senior project manager and project executive. He has more than 16 years of experience in the construction industry.

Trapp received a B.S. in civil engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an M.S. in construction management from the University of California. He is a licensed professional engineer. Trapp currently resides in Bethlehem, N.Y. with his wife and three children.

NAI/James E. Hanson, Inc. announced the appointment of Hal Messer as sales representative.

Messer will work in the firm's corporate services division, assisting with the marketing, leasing, and sales of office and industrial projects.

Messer is a graduate of Babson College.

Advanced TelCom Group, Inc. announced that Joe Talarico has joined the company as an account executive at the firm's White Plains regional office. He will be responsible for sales of voice and data services throughout Westchester county.

Previously, Talarico served as senior account representative with Digital Broadband Communications.

Talarico received a B.S. from Buffalo State College. He has done volunteer work for many local organizations, including the Salvation Army, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Blythedale Children's Hospital, and Burke Rehabilitation Center. Talarico resides in Valhalla, N.Y.

Audrey Novoa has joined Murray Hill Properties/TCN Worldwide as executive managing director.

Previously, Novoa spent 28 years at Williams Real Estate Co. Inc., most recently as executive managing director. Throughout her career, Novoa has consistently been a top producer in the New York market, having been responsible for leasing and managing more than 3,000,000 SF of office space. Her client list includes such companies as Loews Corporation, Southeby's, Inc., and AT&T Wireless.

Novoa is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the Commercial Real Estate Women Association, and the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association.

Houlihan/Lawrence announced that Deanna Yalkowsky joined its Scarsdale office as a sales agent.

Prior to joining Houlihan/Lawrence, Yalkowsky was the manager of "Elegant Beginnings," a boutique shop.

Yalkowsky holds a B.A. in political science. She resides in Scarsdale, N.Y.

Grubb & Ellis Company announced the appointment of John Buttarazzi as senior managing director of the public/private advisory group.

Buttarazzi has managed more than $1 billion worth of privatization and economic development projects. Some of his most notable transactions include the leasing of Stewart International Airport and the Niagara Falls International Airport and the franchising of the Long Island Railroad freight division. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, Buttarazzi served as senior vice president of the Empire State Development Corporation privatization group.

Buttarazzi earned a B.S. in mathematics and natural science from Washington and Lee University, and has attended graduate school at George Washington University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has given numerous congressional testimonies and published many articles on public policy matters.

Insignia/ESG announced the appointment of Eduardo Pena as an associate in its retail group.

Pena possesses extensive knowledge of the retail markets in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and northern New Jersey. Previously, he worked at Robert K. Futterman & Associates. His clients included McDonald's, Cohen's Optical, and Jennifer Convertibles.

Pena is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.

Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. announced the appointment of Richard Taylor and Gary Glatter as senior managing director and managing director, respectively.

Glatter is an accomplished professional attorney, with more than 14 years of combined legal and commercial real estate experience. His expertise runs the gamut from commercial leasing and acquisitions to development, investment sales, and financing.

Prior to joining Newmark, Glatter served as senior vice president of MainStreet Dental Management Corporation.

Taylor has extensive experience in corporate real estate, especially in the areas of health care and call centers. During his career, he has represented several large corporations in several hundred million dollars worth of real estate transactions. His roster of clients includes such companies as Fuji Film, Ford Motors, and Pitney Bowes Credit.

Prior to joining Newmark, Taylor served as senior vice president of sales for ISKY.

Denholtz Associates announced the appointment of Brian McMurray, SPHR, as director of human resources. McMurray will be responsible for managing the employee relations for the company.

Prior to joining Denholtz Associates, McMurray was vice president of human resources at First American Title Insurance Company of New York. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in human resources for such companies as the United Hospital Fund of New York, Abraham and Straus Department Stores, and the New York City Department of Transportation.

McMurray received an M.B.A. in human resource management from Bernard M. Baruch College.

The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management announced that David Kuperberg, president of Cooper Square Realty, Inc., is the recipient of the 2001 Humanitarian of the Year Award.

Well known in the real estate industry for his many contributions to the business community, Kuperberg is actively involved with Community Access, an organization devoted to helping the homeless. He developed "Reinvest Success," a program that helps homeless people with psychiatric disabilities transition from homelessness and institutional living to independent living. Cooper Square Realty makes a contribution to Community Access each time a tenant moves into a Cooper Square-managed building. Kuperberg was recently honored with Community Access' prestigious Access-Ability Award.

Kuperberg is co-chairman of the Harold J. Kalikow Memorial Camp Reception, where he is involved with fundraising activities. He is also the captain of the volunteer fire department in his hometown of Scarsdale.

Insignia/ESG announced the appointment of Peter Hancock as an associate in its retail group.

Prior to joining Insignia/ESG, Hancock served with Robert K. Futterman & Associates, where he was part of a team that exclusively represented such high-profile national retailers as Circuit City, Bally Total Fitness, and Loews Theatres.

Hancock is a graduate of San Francisco State University. He has served with the US Marine Corps 1992 to 1994. Hancock resides in Brooklyn.
