Man kicked by horse.

A TAMWORTH man was left with a fractured skull after he was kicked by a horse.

The incident happened in Crowberry Lane, Middleton, at 11.50am on Saturday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service staff, a rapid response vehicle and the County Air Ambulance were all at the scene.

Dr Tony Bleetman, WMAS Helicopter clinical director, said: "The 46-year-old man was walking beside the horse when the accident happened.

"Due to his condition we anaesthetised him before airlifting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

"His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
