Man held in school gun find.

A man was arrested yesterday after guns were allegedly discovered during a search of a Glasgow primary school and a nearby house.

Police with sniffer dogs swooped on Leithland Road Primary School, in the city's Pollok district, during morning classes.

Stunned pupils sat at their desks as the dogs nosed around the classrooms and a house in the school grounds.

Last night a police spokesman said: "It is alleged that during the search two firearms were recovered and this will form the basis of a report to the procurator fiscal."

A 33-year-old man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
