Man found hanged at his home.

A MAN hanged himself three months after splitting up with his long-term girlfriend, an inquest heard.

Raymond Goudge, aged 51, was found dead at his home in Sutton Coldfield.

His ex-partner, Belinda Biddell, told Birmingham Coroner's Court on Friday how they had been together for 16 years but had separated three months before his death last October.

But they were still in contact and spoke regularly.

Miss Biddell said she went to his house in Warwick Road that day after reports from neighbours he had not been seen for a while.

A report compiled for the inquest by Mr Goudge's GP told how he had been prescribed anti-depressants two years previously.

Birmingham Coroner Aidan Cotter told the inquest that, although no suicide note or letter was found, he was certain that Mr Goudge had meant to take his own life.

Mr Cotter recorded a suicide verdict.
