Man dies as car hits pylon.

A MAN died after the BMW he was driving hit an electricity pylon.

Paramedics were called to Kineton Lane, Hockley Heath, at about 9.30pm on Thursday but nothing could be done to save the man.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said a passer-by called for help after finding the man trapped inside his car.

The road was closed for about three hours while emergency crews worked at the scene and the highway was cleared.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "It quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the man."

Witnesses can call the regional collision investigation unit on 101.
