Man burgled family who helped him; NEWS WIRE.

AN ALCOHOLIC targeted a Stoneycroft family who had helped him out with cash loans.

Scott Alexander Moss, 50, was caught after blood left on a broken window frame was matched with his DNA.

Moss, of The Green, also in Stoneycroft, pleaded guilty to burglary at Liverpool Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The court heard victim Anne Amin lived at the address with her son for 60 years, but was away on holiday when the offence happened.

Paul Williams, defending, told the court Moss expressed genuine remorse.

The bench decided the case was too serious to be sentenced in magistrates' court and sent it Liverpool Crown Court. Moss was bailed with the condition not to contact the victims and will face sentence on September 8.
