Man burgled OAP's home.

A BILSTON man who conned his way into an old woman's home and stole pounds 200 from her bedroom has been jailed for three years.

Simon Peter Doherty (24), of Chillington Place, Bilston, had pleaded guilty at Warwick Crown Court to a charge of burglary.

Judge Christopher Hodson told him: "This is a serious matter. You burgled the house of an 86-year-old woman."

Prosecutor Shenaz Muzaffer said Doherty struck at the pensioner's home in Archery Road, Meriden, near Coventry, last July.
