Man accused of rape at University of Glamorgan.

A MAN has been remanded in custody accused of raping a woman at the University of Glamorgan.

Jonathan Haynes, of Saxon Street, Northampton, is also charged with a series of other rapes as well as kidnapping and attempted kidnap. The 29-year-old was appearing at Swindon Crown Court facing a number of charges. No charges were formally put to him and he did not enter pleas.

It is alleged that he raped a woman twice at the university on September 26, last year.

Just under two weeks earlier he is said to have kidnapped a woman in Chippenham, and raped her twice. On February 6, he is accused of trying to kidnap two 15-year-old girls close to Chippenham. In March, he is accused of kidnapping and raping a woman twice.

He also faced charges of making and possessing indecent images of children between October 2009 and March 2010. The case was adjourned to November 5.
