Man, 57, held over limbless torso in case.

A MAN has been arrested after a woman's headless and limbless torso was discovered in a suitcase.

Police said the man, aged 57, was picked up at 7pm and was being questioned at a station last night.

The body was found on Friday after other tenants in a shared property in Peterborough, Cambs, complained about a smell.

It has not yet been formally identified.

Police said they were no longer appealing for help to find Vitautas Jokubauskas, 57. However, they are anxious to trace a fellow Lithuanian who was thought to be his partner.

She was described as aged 40, slim with black hair.

A postmortem examination was due to be carried out later today.
