A MAN has appeared in court accused of a catalogue of sex offences.
Keith Scott allegedly made more than 45,000 indecent photographs of children, including more than 400 in the most serious category.
The 51-year-old also stands accused of five counts of voyeurism and eight counts of sexual assault, with his youngest victim just eight years old at the time.
Scott, from Marske, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday where he indicated no plea to the 23 charges.
Paul Doney, prosecuting, said the case should be heard at the Crown Court due to the severity of the charges.
The most historical charge dates back more than a decade, when it is alleged he intentionally assaulted a young girl by touching.
He also faces seven separate charges of touching a girl under the age of 13.
He is also accused of possessing a prohibited image of a child and taking an indecent photograph of a child.
The photos were allegedly found on a Dell computer tower seized from his home.
A further 44,031 category C, 589 category B and 471 category A images were allegedly found on a Samsung USB drive.
A total of 37 category C images, seven category B and three category A images were allegedly found on a Buffalo USB drive.
Scott, of Station Close, was granted unconditional bail and will appear again at Teesside Crown Court on August 12.
