Malaysia expects aviation agreement with EU by the end of 2006.


An aviation agreement between Malaysia and the European Union is expected by the end of the year.

Malaysia's transport minister Chan Kong Choy said that the terms of the expected agreement would allow European airlines to operate flights between Malaysia and any of the 25 EU countries.

The EU already has similar agreements with a number of other countries, including Ukraine, Georgia and Chile.
