Malaysia Airlines offers reward for vandalism information.
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDMalaysia Airlines has offered its employees a reward for information that leads to saboteurs being caught.
The saboteur or saboteurs have vandalised four aircraft belonging to the airline since 2003. An Airbus A330 was banned from flying earlier this month as hydraulic oil was spilled on the cockpit instrument panel, while another aircraft had some electrical wires tampered with.
Despite questioning airline staff and workers at the Kuala Lumpur airport, Malaysian police have not been able to catch the person or persons responsible for the vandalism. The airline has offered a USD26,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the those guilty, the Daily Star reported.
