Malaysia,United States : Chevron awarded US$230mil deal to MISC Offshore Floating Terminals.

MISC Bhds unit MISC Offshore Floating Terminals (L) Ltd has won a deal from Chevron for the lease and operations of a floating, storage and offloading vessel (FSO) in the Gulf of Thailand.

The energy shipping company, which is a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd stated that it received the agreement via a competitive bidding and this marked MISCs maiden foray into Thailands offshore oil and gas market.

The deal with COTL was for a duration of 10 years, with COTL having the right to extend for up to five extensions of one year each.

The vessel is being leased by Chevrons unit Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd (COTL) for the FSO Benchamas 2 Project.
