Malaysia,Nepal : MALAYSIA AIRLINES offers thrice-weekly flights to KATHMANDU.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has started service to Kathmandu with the inaugural flight departing from the KL International Airport for the capital of Nepal. The airline is to offer weekly three service on this route.
The 8.55am inaugural flight service was availed by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri and the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal, Lekha Nath Bhattarai.
MAS commercial director Dr Hugh Noel Dunleavy said, The KL-Kathmandu flights will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. MAS will be operating a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 144 economy class and 16 business class seats on the route.
He further added that apart from being very popular with tourists, Kathmandu offered great potential for travellers. He expects a significant growth in traffic between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu, followed by these flights.
This new service forms part of the airline effort to strengthen its regional market presence.
