Making tracks to show.

AROUND 700 people from across Yorkshire and beyond turned out to Holmfirth Civic Hall at the weekend for a special rail modellers exhibition.

Organised by Huddersfield Railway Modellers Group the annual event was the 43rd to be staged.

Graham Harpham, 65, said: "I have been involved in model railways since my 20s.

"A highlight of this year's exhibition was a layout that we have been building for three years. That attracted quite a lot of interest. I'm glad to say the traders have been doing well too."

The group meets every Thursday night at 7.30pm at Stonefield Mills, Tanyard Road, Milnsbridge.
