CITY & GUILDS has recruited a new customer relations manager to enhance the growth and development of its Wales office in Cardiff.
Julie Cook, from Newport, will be responsible for the development of the City & Guilds centres in Wales which include a variety of training providers and further education institutions. Additionally, she will provide guidance on City & Guilds products and services to prospective and existing customers.
Ms Cook brings a considerable amount of expertise to her new post with over 20 years' experience in various roles within British Gas, including training and development adviser and management development specialist. She was instrumental in the design and delivery of management development training solutions and also has experience of managing teams of up to 50 people.
She said: "These roles allow me to encourage children to think of learning as a lifelong activity, rather than an activity that is traditionally confined to childhood."
Mandy James, national manager for City & Guilds Wales, said: "Julie's years of experience in training andmanagement and her enthusiasm for lifelong learning will certainly help further the success of City & Guilds in Wales and strengthen our customer relations team."
