Individuals, organisations and projects who are making a huge difference to life in the borough are being encouraged to enS ter the 2011 Catalyst Achievement Awards.
The honours celebrate the success of the local voluntary and community sector, recognising often unsung heroes in 10 different awards, ranging from Youth and Adult Volunteer to Community Group and Biggest Health Impact.
Catalyst is a leading voice for Stockton's third sector. It works to find solutions that help them continually improve and thrive.
Catalyst executive director Allison Agius said: "Week in, week out hundreds of staff and thousands of volunteers across the borough do amazing work, often for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
"We want to continue raising the profile of its work, and rewarding those who achieve remarkable things to benefit others' lives."
This year's sponsors are NHS Stockton-on-Tees, VIVA, Catalyst, Vela Homes, Stockton Council and Knowhow Northeast. A new award has been launched for the organisation which has made a difference to improving a specific element of health and wellbeing, which this year is diabetes.
